Cristina Voto is a researcher (RTDA) at the Department of Humanities at the University of Turin, where she teaches Design Languages, Semiotics of Cultural Heritage: Perspectives on Intersectionality, Ethics and AI, and Digital Gender Studies. Her research focuses on visual and technological semiotics, with particular attention to the relationships between digital art, artificial intelligence, and gender studies, as well as to technologically mediated processes of subjectivation. She has published essays, edited volumes, and the monograph Monstruos Audiovisuales. Agentividad, movimiento y morfología (2022). She collaborates with doctoral programs in Colombia and Argentina and has worked with academic and artistic institutions in Europe and Latin America. She is the founder and a member of the collective Las Berthas, dedicated to the intersection of performing arts, gender, and sexuality.
